Department of Water Resources Public Meeting

The Department of Water Resources held a public meeting today to gather comments regarding the North Dakota Sovereign Lands Permit Application submitted by BNSF to construct their new bridge across the Missouri River at Bismarck - Mandan. This permit application is specific to construction of the new bridge, though it has been made clear that should the preferred design proposed by BNSF be approved, it will not be safe to retain the current structure.

Representatives from the community, including FORB, presented oral and written comments to the DWR for their consideration as they review the application. We are grateful to DWR for holding this meeting.
